Financial and Insurance Information
Dental and medical insurance companies do not always pay for TMJ treatment and it's not uncommon for an insurance company to tie up a TMJ claim over many months by continually requesting information and then the clain is often denied. For this reason, we require TMJ patients to pay for their TMJ care and we assist by filing insurance. The insurance company then reimburses the patient and it's the patient's responsibility to follow up and fight with the insurance company, not ours.
When the insurance doesn't pay, many TMJ patients become mad at us for what their insurance did. It's sad, but we would rather not provide TMJ care to avoid fighting with insurance companies or even worse, suing our own patients for payment.
Our office offers TMJ treatment financing for patients who qualify. This helps make the treatment more affordable by limiting the costs to an affordable monthly payment.
